We built Smart Sailors with professional seafarers. For a boat owner, it comes down to three things.
After damage, a dispute or an inspection, you will be asked for the logbook. A soaked, lost or scratched-out notebook proves nothing. In Smart Sailors every watch entry is time-stamped, immutable and exportable as a PDF in the paper-register format: your passage can be reconstructed in minutes, years later.
Engine hours logged during the watch become genuine maintenance readings. Oil change, belt, anodes or antifouling come due at the right threshold, with a reminder ahead of time, not “sometime in spring”.

Every hour, one line: position, course, speed, wind, a word on the sea state. At 14:00 the engine passes 412 hours; the app flags that the 400-hour oil change is due and creates the task.

Regulations prescribe content, not a medium. Smart Sailors entries are immutable, time-stamped three times and chained together; the PDF export follows the paper-register format. That is a solid body of technical evidence for an insurer or a surveyor, without being an administratively approved register.
